Support Maneno
If you like what Maneno is doing and want to support us, here are a few suggestions.
-
Donate
- Equipment
We work directly with bloggers in Africa, a region where the data exchange is powered by mobile technologies. If you have old, full-keyboard mobile phones (like Blackberrys) that you or your company aren't using anymore we'll gladly accept them as donations and distribute them to bloggers.
- Funds
We are a fully incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit (NGO) entity. Our operating budget is derived solely from donations and grants. If you wish to send a tax deductible donation, please use the form to the right. For large donations, grants, or gifts please contact us via the link below. We appreciate your support in helping Maneno continue to run and bring to light new African voices.
If you have questions on any of the above or want to talk more, please contact us.

Join the Community
Even if you aren't blogging on Maneno, joining gives you access to the community and to show everybody who you are. It also allows you to translate articles you like.
-
Badges
Visit our Spread the Words page to grab the code for a badge to place on your site and let people know about Maneno.
-
Blogging
If you already have a blog, then write about Maneno. Link to articles on the site as well when you find content that is interesting. Doing this exposes Maneno to an even greater audience, which is one of our goals.
-
BarCamps
If you have a BarCamp in your area, lead a session on Maneno. We can provide you with a list of talking points if you want. We can also provide information on past BarCamps in Africa and pointers on how to organize one.
-
Translate
One of the biggest components to Maneno are the languages. If you can translate the site in to a new language, you can help out the site immensely. If you are multi-lingual, then you can also translate the articles for greater exposure. You don't even need to have a blog to do this, but you do need to be registered.
