Jean-Patrick Ehouman

A native Ivorian, Jean-Patrick has been living in France since 2000. He has worked as a developer and then an architect for web and mobile applications for banks and the media, while also working as a consultant in web strategies for his own company. Since 2007 he's been involved in promoting ICT initiatives in Africa via conferences and NGOs as seen with the launch of BarCamp Abidjan as well as the Africa Startup Challenge.

Joel Nlepe

Joel Nlepe is a Cameroonian ICT engineer working in France. He also runs the Africa 2.0 Group, a new media consulting firm working in Africa. He is the man behind the blog, Africa 2.0 which focuses on new media, development, ICT and startups in the African technology space. To help motivate development in these sectors, he, along with Jean-Patrick Ehouman started the Africa Startup Challenge.

Saul Wainwright

A native South African who splits his time between Cape Town and Oakland, California. His undergraduate Honors Thesis looked at the investment behavior of South African State-Owned Enterprises in the rest of Africa. He is currently working on his Masters in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Cape Town focusing on mobile banking, alternative/complementary currencies and the broader questions about money and how it is conceptualized and created.

Miquel Hudin

A Croatian web developer and user interface architect with over a decade of experience, Miquel leads the technology initiatives by applying years of commericial and retail experience to developing the overall interface and design of Maneno. He has been relentlessly blogging since 2003 and works to promote the craft of citizen journalism and connecting separate language spheres.
