Formed in 2008, The Maneno Project works to provide a communication and development platform for entrepeneurs. Our main area of focus is on those living in Sub-Saharan regions of Africa with an emphasis on women business owners.Our Projects
We work on small, focused projects that allow us to be hand's on with all those who be involved. The current projects that Maneno is the lead on include the following:
Watotees
A clothing store with a focus on creating hip, African-themed t-shirts, designs and apparel. We develop the designs both in-house and with designers from Sub-Saharan Africa who we choose to work with. All profit from Watotees goes directly in to funding Maneno projects.
Afractal Magazine
An online magazine that garners both funding and written material from Maneno. Those wishing to be published in the magazine should submit articles to Maneno. Afractal magazine is published with English, Spanish, and French translations for each issue and will have a premiere issue in the Fall of 2008.
