An information and Community Development worker, Janet is a very active fellow in the information and Communication process. I work with Women of Uganda Network, an NGO that advocates for ICT4DeV and active inclusion of Women at all levels of the ICT processes in Uganda. I am currently one of the three member steering committee of the newly launched Africa Knowledge Network, implemented by UNECA. It is a new initiative using knowledge networks through ICT access points for disadvantaged communities. The generation and use of local content from the communities is emphasised in the initiative and we look forward to its contribution to the African Knowledge wealth.
